Scripture Study Index

To all who desire the calling of a full time mission, desiring to serve the Lord as His Ambassador. To all who seek scriptural references for specific gospel subjects, this is my personal study of the scriptures. If I make a mistake, it is my fault. Let me know, and it will be fixed.

When I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, I visited and studied 72 different churches and faiths not of my own. I had to know the views of all as I taught the Lord's gospel. It seemed right to me. It felt good to shake hands with brothers and sisters not of my faith. You all treated me cordeally, and I ask my Father in Heaven to bless you and all your families for how you put your arms about me, fed me, shared your views with me . . .  even when we did not agree. You know who you are. Thank you.

To those who seek knowledge about what my faith beliefs and teachings, I would encourage you to read through these subjects, keeping a neutral stance, and an open mind and heart as you read my work here (even as I continue to keep an open mind and heart as I studay yours).  As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, we are all commanded to learn everything above the earth, on the earth and beneath the earth.   I love this commandment, as I have always been curious about the workings of this great world.  I hope you are as well.

Paul stated, "Prove all things; hold fast to that which is good." (1 Thessalonians 5:21)

Pray about the things I write in this section of my site. Then, through prayer find out for yourself if what I speak of is true for yourself.  We are indeed children of a loving, kind, graciouis Father in Heaven, who is just -- and is the same yesterday, today and forever.  We can indeed trust Him, that I know to be true..

James directed seekers of truth, as recorded in the New Testiment: "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. (James 1:5-7)

If you do this with real intent, longing to know, I promise you in the name of the Lord, even our master, Jesus Christ, you will discover treasures of truth which will, if you follow them, lead you to genuine happiness.

By my words, you cannot know God lives and that Jesus is the Christ. This can only be made known to you by The Spirit who beareth witness of all truth. I can give you no sure knowledge of these truths; I am only sharing with you what I have found out.

As I write this, I will also begin my personal biography; the journey that brought me to the knowledge that God is our Father, and that Jesus Christ truly did suffer, die and was ressurected from the dead for all. This was a journey that opened my eyes to many things which have brought me happiness . . . some were terrifying and dark.  But, there is always an opposite to all good things.  This gives us all the opportunity of choice.

Above all, I have learned that we are never alone; that we absolutely matter to Him who is exalted in the heavens. It is amazing to me that God, our Father in Heaven, who is perfect, flawless, loving, and all knowing, has descended His mighty hand so far down to lift us up, striving to teach us that we are not merely sons and daughters of mortal parents, but that we are indeed sons and daughters of a very real and living, perfect God.

If God is a King, and you are his son or daughter, what does that make you?
